Student feature page
Today's youth are image-rich but visually illiterate. Many think that selfies with funny faces are the extent of the possibilities of their phone or camera. My courses are intended to take image making from the mundane to the sublime. The intent is to equip high school students with the tools they need to make image-making a form of self expression, or of story-telling, or of documentation. This page is dedicated to my students.
Alyssa is incredibly talented. Her use of wide-angle, geometric shapes, light and dark and contrast reveal that she has an eye for photography. She may not know at this point what she has accomplished, but she knows it is good.
